I scrambled one egg with a little bit of milk. Then I chopped up two lite breakfast sausage links. I put the eggs on a small tortilla, topped it with the sausage and then added some shredded cheddar. I popped it into the toaster oven for about 4 to 5 minutes and voila: breakfast pizza.
You can mix this up any number of ways and it will be yummy.
I was able to eat about 2 1/2 wedges today. But to be honest, I've been eating really fast lately so I would probably have been fine with 2. I'm not adhering to the WLS rule, which is to eat slowly and take at least 20 minutes to eat a meal (that's how long it takes for the stomach to tell the brain it's full). So, I'm probably eating a little more than I should. Gotta work on that!
Breakfast Pizza seems awesome! ;)
ReplyDeleteI will often put an egg on my night time pizza as well.. that is a bit of an Aussie thing I think.. :) I like it because it holds all the toppings on super strong like.
Hmm that sounds interesting. I've seen a fried egg on a cheeseburger but never on a pizza. Is it fried or scrambled?
DeleteYou put it on raw, and then cook it with the pizza in the oven. I like mine with the yolk still intact - after 20 minutes it will be completely cooked through.
DeleteThe Other Half scrambles his and pours it on, it foofs up beautifully. :)
I'll have to take a pic next time and blog it.. we have home made pizza on Friday nights here..
Oh, I see. So it's baked on top of the pizza. I get it now.
DeleteThat is a neat idea! I'll have to try that! I have some tortillas and some eggs and cheese! I like your blog. Found you on Snoskred's blog. I've got to lose weight and trying to eat better. Trying to get off of bread but it's hard. I've gone to crackers, but I do love burgers! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading! I like to mix it up once in awhile. I also use tortillas to make mini BBQ chicken pizza when I don't feel like making dinner.
